Shaping Batard And Boule

Shaping dough can be easier than you think! Yes there are lots of different methods out there but I find these the easiest.

For both doughs

Fold the ends into the middle to form a ball.
Tighten the ball by sliding the dough away from you and pulling it back towards you.
Let the dough rest for about 5 minutes.
Boule – tight dough more if needed and put in a well floured proofing basket.
Batard- flip dough over and fold it in half like a taco then proof in basket.
