3 different ways you can score your sourdough with a bread lame! The reason we score dough is to give it room to expand while baking (Expansion score). If you don’t have an expansion score your dough will burst in any weak spot it finds. The smaller shallower cuts are for design and won’t affect your bake results 

  1. Single score 
  2. “X” Score 
  3. Box score
